Managing the Zanzibar National Blood Transfusion Service under the Ministry of Health Zanzibar whereby my job as a Manager is planning and ensuring implementation of activities of collecting blood from Voluntary blood donors, and distributing safe blood which is free from Infections and of high quality standards to all the hospitals in Zanzibar. My job was also to monitor the activities and proper utilization of the distributed blood, supervision of the blood banks, mobilization of resources for the program and staff development, coordination with different Stake holders and Advocacy.
SOS Village Doctor (Part time) Hermann Gmeiner Medical Center SOS Children’s Village, Zanzibar, 1992 to June 2007
Provided medical care to the village children, all staff, their families and the school children. I participated in the management of the clinic and actively contributed to the expansion of the Medical Center service to cater for the neighboring community. I volunteered in Data collection of disease conditions and their analysis to be used by the Medical Center in planning for resource availability and controlling communicable diseases. I also volunteered in conducting annual medical examinations to all village children and providing health education and prevention from HIV to the school children.

As a Medical Practitioner my job was to take care of children who attended the outpatient and also those who were admitted in the wards. As an In charge, my role was also to manage the department and supervise the staff.

Managing the Maternal and Child health and Family Planning Program of the Ministry of Health. Worked as Medical Practitioner at the Ob/Gyn department where I took care of antenatal women, deliveries and women who presented with gynecological problems.
